The NEWTRNX transport solver is being developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory within the Collaboration for Advanced Nuclear Simulation (CANS). NEWTRNX tracks the seven-dimensional distribution of neutrons and the depletion, decay, and transmutation of isotopes in three dimensions. This code works exceptionally well in evaluating nuclear data from the SCALE (Standardized Computer Analyses for Licensing Evaluations) code suite to produce an accurate heat generation distribution within a nuclear reactor core.
